The Palm Pre is one amazing phone and the Pre battery is going to have a lot to live up to. The Pre battery will have the same demands as the iphone with users living on their device but the pre battery is removable allowing users to always keep their phones powered up. Past palm phones have had good battery life so we expect the pre battery to perform well.

My battery lasted two days and included phones, search, moving data files from Outlook and watching some TV and Radio. I suggest the ones who have an hour or two usage need to know how to use a battery operated phone.

I have the touchstone charger and have not had a problem with battery life. When I use it at my desk the charger acts as astand to angle the phone up for viewing. I've been very happy with the Pre.

I think the battery just needs to be conditioned - it is not the unit. I put my wifes treo 800w battery in my pre and the pre lasted a long time. Once you condition your new battery it will work fine.

battery will last a day of use, internet text, email, pictures, etc, charge up at night and good to go next day. Touchstone is awesome. No more plug dangles.

My battery does only last about a day but thats not too bad for a phone of this nature. If you really are in the middle of the woods all day and cant hook it up to a wall they sell bigger batteries for it. It does take a lot to power it, but its a fairly intense phone

The battery charge went low and now will not power up not liking palm pre bluetooth still has only about 1 hour usage

I agree with pissed. My battery worked for about 2 hours max standby!!!!! no wifi, no aim, and check email manually! It was on 100% full charge!!!

Agree, the battery life is absolutely terrible. Full charge this morning, made about 4 short calls, maybe 20 texts, checked email ONCE, and writing this is the last thing I will do before she's toast. Oh, and I flew today so the phone was OFF, not airplane mode for 6 hours.

After a normal day's usage I will have 10-20% power left on my pre. My wife has the 3G iphone and after a similar day's usage she will have about 70-80% left. I carefully monitor monitor my power, no wi-fi or bluetooth, no apps running, every option I can find to save power. She never has to think twice about power.
